Electrical Engineer (Data Center / Modular)

Location: Houston, TX (75072)

Position Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 / year base + 10% to 20% performance bonus

About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2 to 10 years of experience to support hyperscale data center infrastructure and modular EPC projects. In this role, you will be responsible for low-voltage power distribution design, engineering deliverables, technical requisitions, and ETAP analysis across the design, manufacturing, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Calculations: Prepare load lists, cable sizing/schedules, single-line diagrams, earthing protection systems, and lighting studies (Dialux).
  • System Analysis: Perform ETAP arc flash analysis, load balancing, capacity planning, and power consumption optimization.
  • Engineering Deliverables: Check and approve drawings, create Technical Requisitions (TRs) for fire and electrical systems, and generate bulk MTOs / BOMs.
  • Manufacturing & Site Support: Provide technical support to the plant during module manufacturing, respond to RFIs, and assist with site installation and commissioning.
  • Vendor & Client Interface: Review vendor quotations with procurement and serve as a technical point of contact during client design reviews.

Basic Qualifications
  • Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university.
  • Experience: 2 to 10 years of electrical design experience in EPC modular engineering, power distribution, or data center infrastructure.
  • Required Software Proficiency: ETAP, SolidWorks, and MS Office 365.
  • Core Technical Knowledge: Power distribution (low voltage, switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs) and national/international standards (NEC, NFPA, IEC, IBC, OSHA).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is a strong plus (not required).
  • Operational knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, Dialux, and SAP.
  • Hands-on experience with high-density or hyperscale modular data center environments.
