Job Summary: Manufacturing Engineer (2nd Shift, 4/10B) - Orlando, FL
About the Role
Join our dynamic Manufacturing Engineering team as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you will design and optimize cutting-edge production solutions for high-impact projects. This 2nd shift role (Tuesday-Friday, 12 noon-10pm) offers you the chance to drive operational excellence, integrate advanced technologies, and directly influence product quality and efficiency in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and efficient production layouts for assemblies and equipment installations
- Integrate automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
- Analyze 3D model data to optimize work instructions and process flows
- Evaluate machinery and equipment performance using IoT data, and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Apply statistical process control methods to monitor and improve manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine design concepts and ensure manufacturing feasibility
- Ensure all processes and procedures comply with internal and regulatory standards
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience with CAD software
- At least 2 years CAM software experience
- Minimum 2 years of G-code application experience
- Proficient in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools and gauges
- 1+ year experience with Mil-Spec special processes (e.g., heat treatment, chem-film, anodize)
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills
- Experience using CREO or NX for CAD and CAM
- Familiarity with chem-film, paint applications, and special processes
- Vericut software experience
- Knowledge of ISO9000, AS9100, and military specifications
- Effective project management abilities
- Experience with SAP, Apriso, and Windchill PLM
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
