Step into a pivotal Manufacturing Engineer role supporting the Machining Operations Center at our Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility. Responsibilities

- Drive process improvements and automation in small parts assembly, paint, and plating areas
- Develop and interpret detailed work instructions from engineering drawings to support manufacturing
- Analyze non-conformances, perform root cause investigations, and implement effective corrective actions
- Design and model fixtures and tooling to optimize manufacturing processes
- Identify and champion adoption of new automation technologies and advanced manufacturing solutions
- Participate in capital equipment evaluation, selection, and project management
- Provide direct shop floor support, troubleshooting technical and process issues for production teams
- Monitor and report on project quality, schedule, and cost performance

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CAD software (Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks)
- Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

- Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems
- Small parts assembly, including precision pin installation, rivet install, and helicoils
- GD&T interpretation skills
- Hands-on experience with CREO or NX
- Experience with MIL-SPEC and industry-standard special processes (chem-film, anodize, passivation, coatings, plating, heat treatment)
- Paint and masking processes for metallic and composite assemblies
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments
- Automation implementation and 3D printing experience
- Chemistry skills such as titration, pH analysis, plating line troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, and military specifications
