Job Summary: Manufacturing Engineer - Machining Operations Center
Location: Orlando, FL | Schedule: 4x10 Days (Thu-Sun) | Potential for Full-Time Conversion

Join our innovative Manufacturing Engineering team within the Machining Operations Center, where you will work hands-on with ultra-precision machined components supporting advanced electro-optical and missile systems. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will drive process improvements, implement automation, and play a vital role in both new and legacy production environments. Responsibilities
- Support small parts assembly, paint, and plating operations by driving process enhancements
- Interpret technical drawings and develop detailed work instructions for production
- Conduct root cause analysis on component issues and implement corrective actions
- Design fixture and tooling concepts using leading CAD platforms
- Identify and implement automation and identification technology solutions
- Manage capital equipment evaluations, selection, and installation projects
- Provide on-the-floor technical support and resolve manufacturing issues quickly
- Track and report quality, schedule, and cost performance metrics for assigned projects
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a similar technical field
- Minimum 3 years' production manufacturing experience
- Proficiency with CAD software (Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks)
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems
- Precision assembly (pin/rivet/helicoil installation)
- GD&T interpretation
- CREO or NX CAD experience
- Knowledge of MIL-SPEC and special processes (chem-film, anodize, plating, coatings, heat treatment)
- Paint and masking for metal/composite assemblies
- Precision measurement and inspection tools
- Automation and 3D printing exposure
- Chemistry knowledge (titrations, pH analysis, plating line troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, and military standards
