Summary/Objective The Engineer Tech 1 supports the design and development of Lancer products with hands-on prototyping and testing. This role works closely with project teams to ensure prototype and evaluation work is effective and efficient.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Familiarity with manufacturing practices
- Proficiency in one or more fabrication skills:
- Refrigeration - Certified Technician a plus
- Sheet Metal Forming (including welding and grinding)
- 3D Printing / Additive manufacturing
- General Manufacturing Assembly
- Electronic Controls / Automation / Instrumentation / Programming
- The ability to create simple block diagrams for mechanical and electrical applications
- The ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools
- The ability to operate a forklift and become certified is required, previous experience a plus
- The ability to self-manage is required:
- Organize time to best support multiple initiatives with quickly changing priority
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Some 3D CAD modeling experience is a plus, SolidWorks preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Best Practices (5S, TPM) is a plus
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a team environment
Education & Experience - High School Diploma or GED equivalent (2-Year Technical Degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment.
