RequirementsTechnologyEngineer Job Responsibilities:AtWired Engineering our employees wear many hats and encourageinnovation that fosters advancements. These are the basicresponsibilities of the role, but we ask that candidates understandthat this list is not all-inclusive.
- Designs telecommunication structured cabling systems including copper andfibercabling.
- Designs Physical Security Systems including, electronic access control,powersupplies, wiring diagrams, evaluating door hardware,intercom systems, and how industry standards applyto design decisions.
- Designs Surveillance Systems using 3d modeling software to ensure thedesiredviews and image clarity are met, and that allcalculations are accuratelyindicated in design documentation(i.e. field of view, resolutions, etc.).
- DesignsAudio/Video systems including speaker systems, microphones,displays,projectors, and control systems.
- Sets up projects and produces designs using Revit.
- Evaluates,identifies, and documents the electrical and cooling requirementsforvarious systems.
- Preparesspecifications for use in construction.
- Project Management related tasks.
- Providesengineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Assistsstaff with designs and questions
- Ensuresclient satisfaction is maintained by managing expectations.
- Maintainsprofessional and technical knowledge by attending educationalworkshops,reviewing professional publications, andparticipating in professionalsocieties.

- 5+years relevantwork experience, including internship orcooperative program experience

- RegisteredCommunication Distribution Designer (RCDD)
- CertifiedTechnology Specialist or Designer (CTS/CTS-D)
- PhysicalSecurityProfessional (PSP)
