Requirements

TechnologyEngineer Job Responsibilities:AtWired Engineering our employees wear many hats and encourageinnovation that fosters advancements. These are the basicresponsibilities of the role, but we ask that candidates understandthat this list is not all-inclusive.

• Designs telecommunication structured cabling systems including copper andfibercabling.
• Designs Physical Security Systems including, electronic access control,powersupplies, wiring diagrams, evaluating door hardware,intercom systems, and how industry standards applyto design decisions.
• Designs Surveillance Systems using 3d modeling software to ensure thedesiredviews and image clarity are met, and that allcalculations are accuratelyindicated in design documentation(i.e. field of view, resolutions, etc.).
• DesignsAudio/Video systems including speaker systems, microphones,displays,projectors, and control systems.
• Sets up projects and produces designs using Revit.
• Evaluates,identifies, and documents the electrical and cooling requirementsforvarious systems.
• Preparesspecifications for use in construction.
• Project Management related tasks.
• Providesengineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Assistsstaff with designs and questions
• Ensuresclient satisfaction is maintained by managing expectations.
• Maintainsprofessional and technical knowledge by attending educationalworkshops,reviewing professional publications, andparticipating in professionalsocieties.

• BSin electricalengineering from an ABET Accredited college oruniversity required
• 5+years relevantwork experience, including internship orcooperative program experience
• ProfessionalEngineer License (PE)
• RegisteredCommunication Distribution Designer (RCDD)
• CertifiedTechnology Specialist or Designer (CTS/CTS-D)
• PhysicalSecurityProfessional (PSP)

This position is offered as a partial work from home for qualified candidates, so you have thefreedom to work where it best suits your productivity.Candidates should be located in Central Florida to be able to assist with local projects.
