Key Responsibilities- Sales, Client Engagement & System Design
- Conduct client needs assessments and partner with the Sales team to recommend appropriate products and AV solutions.
- Provide technical consultation and support to clients throughout the sales cycle.
- Prepare and present completed proposals to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Design and specify AV equipment and integrated systems.
- Develop detailed project scopes of work, equipment lists, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Conduct site surveys and assess technical and installation requirements.
- Ensure system designs meet client needs and are technically feasible and scalable.
Project Management• Manage project progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables using project management software.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Delivery, as well as external vendors, contractors, and customers.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate and document project changes as needed.
• Maintain accurate project tracking and internal reporting documentation.
• Complete required forecasting, billing, and project closeout activities.
Additional Responsibilities• Stay current on AV technologies, products, and industry trends.
• Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation.
• Provide basic system training to customers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required to support successful project outcomes.
Qualifications• Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and professional emails.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision while handling challenging or escalating situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and mark up blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions presented in written, mathematical, or diagram form.
• Proficiency in AV system design and integration.
• Familiarity with AV design software such as AutoCAD and D-Tools.
• Knowledge of relevant AV control and DSP systems, including Crestron, Extron, AMX, and Biamp.
Required Education & Experience• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of direct AV project management, installation, and/or engineering experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling five years may be considered in place of the preferred degree.
• PMP certification is a plus. Candidates will be expected to pursue PMP certification as a condition of employment for this position.
• CTS certification preferred; CTS-I or CTS-D certification is also beneficial. Candidates will be expected to pursue CTS certification within six months of hire as a condition of employment.
• Knowledge of audio/video systems, including video projection, production, switching and distribution, distributed audio, professional audio, audio and video conferencing systems, integrated control systems, and AV installation methods.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project scheduling software required.
