Description The Structural Engineer is responsible for analyzing, researching, and developing engineering specifications related to the structural integrity of components composed of metallic, non-metallic, or composite materials. This work supports both product design and operational requirements, spanning systems such as mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, powerplant, armament, heating, ventilation, and equipment maintenance. Core responsibilities include evaluating damage tolerance, durability, and design allowables, as well as performing structural modeling and analysis. Structural specialties may encompass dynamics and loads, stability, stress fatigue, and thermal analysis.
