Job Description Job Summary: Design new products and enhance/improve current products. Work directly with mechanical and electrical engineers, technicians, manufacturing, and quality functions. Duties/Responsibilities: Apply mechanical engineering skills to design, develop, analyze, and test all mechanical aspects of portable electronics equipment. Generate 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings utilizing Solidworks. As an individual contributor, meet project objectives with innovation, creativity and good engineering practice. Design new, innovative products and drive enhancements/improvements to current products. Seek new and better technologies and methods to increase product performance, add features and reduce component and production costs. When appropriate, putting in additional hours to meet project deadlines and stay off the critical path.Create and maintain detailed drawings of designs and assemblies per document control standards.
