Manufacturing Interface (SolidWorks & GD&T) Our client is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks and deliver fully manufacturable drawing packages to production. This role sits at the intersection of design and manufacturing and requires strong GD&T, attention to detail, and the ability to execute quickly with minimal supervision. This is a design-heavy role, focused on turning SolidWorks models into precise drawings that manufacturing can build correctly the first time. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Design mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks 2. Convert 3D models into complete, accurate 2D drawings suitable for manufacturing. 3. Apply GD&T correctly and consistently to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability. 4. Design components with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles in mind. 5.
