Emphasis will be placed on expertise in aerothermodynamics modeling and simulation, gas-surface thermochemical interactions, including quantum-mechanical and other fundamental treatments, high-temperature physics and ablation processes, and plasma physics, as related to hypersonic flight and atmospheric entry.
