Job Title: Senior Design Engineer Job Description The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for the design and production engineering of inlet and exhaust systems for Simple Cycle and Combined-Cycle turbine systems. This position is the technical lead for the business, supporting both tactical and strategic initiatives, directing drafting, and supporting Field Service Operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interpret blueprints including fabrication, mechanical assembly and CAD models to develop tooling concepts. Design custom tools, jigs, and fixtures for assembly, sheet metal forming, machining, and inspection processes. Create CAD models using reverse-engineering techniques and equipment. Perform tolerance stack-ups and stress analysis to ensure tool performance and safety. Ability to work with engineering to identify problems with production performance or tool life and recommend solutions or enhancements. Continuously improve tooling for cost-efficiency, durability, and ergonomic safety. Support tool fabrication, validation, and implementation on the production floor. Use CAD software for 2D and 3D modeling to apply commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of tool design, fabrication and assembly.
