Overview Under the mentorship of the Manufacturing Engineering team, deploy a fully automated assembly work station involving robotics. Responsibilities Gain hands-on experience in a real-world manufacturing environment to apply knowledge learned in the classroom. Gain experience using SolidWorks, analyzing SPC data, and procuring engineering materials. With guidance from the manufacturing engineering team, analyze and improve production assembly processes using automation and robotics considering cycle time, quality, space requirements, equipment layout, and workflow. Develop troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Use SolidWorks to develop manufacturing tooling and fixtures Understand how to calculate and improve production efficiencies Reduce downtime associated with 8 wastes Gain experience interfacing with an ERP system Participate in a Kaizen event to ensure continuous process improvement.
