Position Summary The Project Engineer's role is an integral part of the project execution process and forms an integral link between all departments, procedures & resources involved in its success. The Project Engineer's primary responsibility is to lead and manage technical aspects associated with Boost-Level engineering projects in Lincolnton. This will include Continuous Improvement initiatives, new product introductions, and manufacturing support/problem solving projects. The Product Development Process includes (but not limited to) the specification, ordering, development, qualification, installation, validation & production ramp-up of automation equipment for closures. This process requires the position to apply internal standards, procedures, and activity necessary for effective project execution. GENERAL PURPOSE: Ross Stores is launching a brand-new distribution center, and we're excited to hire our first Controls Engineer to help build and support the facility. Primary responsibilities are to perform controls engineering functions in support of Capital Projects, Process Improvement and Maintenance teams with design, development, optimization, maintenance and obsolescence of automated material handling equipment and warehouse control systems in all the Distribution Centers. The Controls Engineer will configure, design and overview control systems for industrial material handling solutions. This includes development of specifications, device layout drawings, control schematics, PLC logic, SCADA systems and implementing solutions which deliver exceptional value.
