Job Description The purpose of this position is to execute engineering research and development project assignments that support the Advanced Structures and Composites Center's (ASCC) mission of advancing material science, advanced manufacturing, and engineering of composites and structures. This role involves designing and conducting experimental test campaigns, analyzing data, and developing innovative solutions for real-world engineering challenges. The position requires proficiency in numerical modeling, CAD/CAE development, and programming to enhance research capabilities in large-scale additive manufacturing, transportation infrastructure, and advanced materials. Additionally, the role contributes to the preparation of technical reports, research proposals, and presentations while fostering collaboration with research staff and mentoring undergraduate researchers.
