What You'll Do Report to the Manager for Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Provide design management for renovation projects of existing campus buildings and infrastructure. You will develop and manage project scope, schedule, and budget. Project designs may be self-performed or by a third-party consultant. Provide drawing and specification documentation for power, lighting, fire alarm, and auxiliary systems for self-performed design. Layout equipment and systems, perform engineering calculations such as load, short circuit, and arc flash, and select equipment and devices with support from lead engineers or the electrical engineering manager. Write standards and technical specifications. Coordinate the design with all disciplines and other U-M partners.
