Requisition Id 16012 Overview: We are seeking a Thermal Mechanical Engineer who will focus on conceptualization, design, build, and deployment of Electromagnetic Isotope Separation (EMIS) devices through the creation of sophisticated 3D CAD models and detailed design packages suitable for fabrication. This position resides in the Plasma Enrichment Deployment & Engineering Group in the Plasma Enrichment Science & Engineering Section, Enrichment Science & Engineering Division, Isotope Science & Engineering Directorate, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). ESED is the national steward for the research, development, and demonstration of enrichment technologies. ORNL is a recognized leader in centrifuge and electromagnetic enrichment technology.
