Overview UMIAQ Design is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training who is interested in gaining practical experience on the design, operations, maintenance, and management of rural water and wastewater utility systems. This is a rare opportunity to work directly with utility operators and administrators under the direction of registered Professional Civil Engineers, gaining the experience required to become a registered professional civil engineer in Alaska. In addition to providing support for water and wastewater systems, UMIAQ Design maintains a diverse portfolio of challenging infrastructure projects throughout rural and urban Alaska. With several recent large project awards and ongoing support contracts, the successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to a variety of projects, working independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
