Position: Entry level Machine Design Engineer Location: Albemarle, NC Type: Full-time | On-site Primary Function: Responsible for developing new production equipment and prototypes, improving existing mechanical systems, designing and testing new mechanical systems, and developing various automated systems. Specific Duties: Designs, develops and improves mechanical systems and devices for custom-built and procured production equipment and automation. Prepares appropriation requests with cost estimates, develops a project schedule and maintains project budget. Creates and maintains mechanical design documentation, including assembly and detail drawings. Drawings may be completed through the drafting support function.
