Job Title: Engineering Intern or Cooperative Education Student Department: Engineering - Fleet Products (Warminster, PA) Accountability: This position reports to Fleet Products Senior Design Engineer Responsibilities: • Product design activities o Support the current engineering team with designs for products in the emergency vehicle market. These can be anything from; consoles, K9's, prisoner transports, motion devices etc. o Designs may incorporate a variety of materials; plastics, sheet metal components and machined parts. o Measure the vehicles using hand tools and/or the 3d scanner. • Detail drawing generation o Using Solidworks generate 3d models and 2d drawings • Prototype build support o Assemble prototypes and test fixtures with the help of current engineers. • Product installation/vehicle test-fit support o Remove interior vehicle components with engineering supervision. o Install prototypes in the vehicle. o Replace OEM components. o Participate in team design reviews. •...
