As a Design Engineering Intern, you will work closely with the Steel Framing Engineering Team to deliver high-performance cold-formed steel solutions, enhance team capabilities, and contribute to innovative developments. Responsibilities include designing truss components and repairs, solving customer engineering challenges, expanding standard details with calculation-based improvements, and supporting the development of new cold-formed steel products. Job Type Full-time Description The Civil Engineer is responsible for site analysis and planning, site layouts, erosion control, grading, storm water management, and utilities for commercial, institutional, and retail clients. Requires frequent interaction with professional staff, clients, contractors, local government officials, from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, permitting, and construction. This position will interact with staff and projects in all offices and on projects in locations throughout the country. The right candidate may live and work in the Kansas City Area or near Wichita, Kansas.
