SUMMARY The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical expertise in designing and manufacturing High Purity Germanium detectors and related products. This role focuses on the design and fabrication of cryogenic vacuum systems, prototype development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong collaboration with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance, innovation, and production goals are met. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and fabricate cryogenic vacuum systems for High Purity Germanium detectors. Create detailed fabrication drawings for parts and assemblies using CAD tools; communicate with suppliers on design specifications.
