Lead the design of ball bearings, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, manufacturability, and NSK's quality standards. Create and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, design calculations, and validation plans. Apply analytical methods and virtual simulations at product and system level to optimize bearing performance and reliability. Provide technical input on materials, specifications, and plant manufacturability. Conduct design reviews, document design activities, and obtain approvals for new designs and changes. Support customer validation programs, testing cycles, and returned product analysis. Collaborate with sales, industry leaders, global and regional Technical Centers teams to identify opportunities and drive new development projects. Maintain up-to-date expertise in industry standards and internal design rules, proactively screening and advising on the adoption of innovative design philosophies within NSK's engineering practices.
