Description The Martin Marietta Engineering Internship at the Salisbury Shop provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience supporting engineering, fabrication, machining, and repair operations within the Company's only crusher repair facility. This approximately 10-week program offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world industrial projects while developing technical, analytical, project management, and leadership skills. Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers within Enterprise Engineering Services and reporting to the Director of Engineering, Engineering Interns gain exposure to a broad range of engineering and project management activities. The Schaefer internship and co-op program provides opportunities for students to apply classroom methodology to hands-on modeling and design. The student's Schaefer advisor, mentor and the assigned project team coordinate to ensure the learning experience is relevant and challenging. Successful internships and co-op rotations may lead to full-time employment, as evidenced by our present staff of dedicated and talented structural engineers and modelers, many of whom were students here themselves.
