Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, designs, develops, tests, and documents all aspects of mechanical/electromechanical/optoelectronic components and assemblies in compliance to company quality system design controls and applicable standards. Applies knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to design and test products such as instruments, controls, and mechanisms. Applies knowledge of raw materials, quality control, costs, and principals involved in the production of precision mechanical assemblies. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, troubleshooting, or repair of products. Is familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Works independently.
