JOB SUMMARY The Port Engineer supports the engineering departmental goals, engineering department staff, the company's executive management, and the management team. The position is responsible for upholding best engineering practices as well as promoting safe work practices with all employees, vendors, and visitors. Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Contribute technical vessel engineering expertise to produce the project work scope from customer requests and business specifications. Accurately estimate the cost, quality requirements and schedule of the project. Develop yacht repair/refit proposals and change orders that outline technical specifications, and project process guidelines. Contribute to process safety in design and risk management when developing proposals in accordance with Rybovich standards. Create a competitive advantage through contribution of innovative solutions while maintaining a customer focus and awareness of best industry practices for marine/ship building technology. Effectively communicate with stakeholders including shipyard team, vessel representatives, contract personnel and with Classification Society representatives.
