Job Title: Design Engineer Classification: Exempt Department: Product Development Reports to: Mgr., Product Development Position Summary: The Design Engineer supports Kobelco product design by developing conceptual and final design solutions, coordinating project activities, and supporting existing product offerings. Key Responsibilities: Design aluminum components for automotive suspension systems (e.g., control arms, knuckles, links). Conduct Finite Element Analysis and reporting. Create 3D models and 2D drawings per standards. Evaluate customer design proposals and specifications for feasibility and cost. Manage product design from concept through production. Develop project schedules to meet customer expectations. Travel for design reviews, customer meetings, and support Kobelco Sales and Manufacturing.
