POSITION DESCRIPTION: Coordinates the detailing work required for pole structures from customer supplied or in-house designs. Scheduling/Reviewing the design and checking the work of other engineers. Ensures conformance to standards and provides accountability for design deviations based on engineering/manufacturing practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the detailing required to manufacture a utility pole design. Review/check the detailing work for accuracy to UMIC, customer, and/or Utility standards. Including cad drawings, and Bill of Material (BOM). Interacts with Sales, Engineers, and other team members to ensure correct design requirements are being used and products are being built properly. Communications with customers to gain clarifications and technical decisions when necessary. Creates and checks in-house and vendor designs.
