ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Check designs and drawings of other Mechanical Design Engineers. Train Design Engineers on ASME code, API 661, ASCE, AISC, Quality Work Instructions, design software, design processes and templates, and Kelvion manufacturing standards. Provide on-going on-the-job training to facilitate continuous performance improvement. Monitor and facilitate Design Engineer performance to maximize productivity, efficiency, and issue design drawings/calculations on time. Ensure scheduled completion dates are met. Implement process improvements to improve engineering efficiency, quality, and lower product cost. Keep Engineering Director informed of systemic changes, job schedules and issues, and other department issues. Design air-cooled heat exchangers as required to meet customer demands.
