POSITION SUMMARY The Electrical Engineer position will be responsible for designing electrical control panels that meet UL508a standards and responsible for all electrical engineering projects. This engineer will need to possess the technical and managerial skills to start a UL508a panel shop that operates efficiently and effectively. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Design air-cooled heat exchangers per customer specifications, American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME), American Petroleum Institute (API) 661, American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE), and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Codes and Standards. Prepare design calculations and customer drawings for the above scope of work. This includes calculations for box headers, structural loads and steel member strength; creating the tube layout, generating detailed box header drawings, designing the fan drive, generating bundle and plan & elevation drawings, and generating weld inspection maps.
