POSITION GOAL: The Civil Project Engineer I will perform project management functions, including team coordination, monitoring scope/schedule/budget, invoicing, proposal preparation, staff planning, interdisciplinary coordination, and client interaction. This position supports all aspects of design projects for roadways, utilities, sewers, bridges, channels, dams, airports, etc. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform and manage fundamental design and modeling tasks, including permit applications, CAD, or GIS work. • Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements. • Analyze the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects including assessing and testing materials • Estimate costs including personnel and material needs, assist in preparing proposals and establishing completion dates.
