Designs products and their corresponding manufacturing processes. Transitions product from design to manufacturing at scale. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems while consulting with management and continues to provide product technical support throughout the products' life cycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Design and develop mechanical products by conforming to product specification, cost targets, studying customer requirements, researching and testing in manufacturing settings. • Create all the technical documents required to specify the product including: 3D part drawings; assembly drawings complete with torque and adhesive call-outs; inspection criteria; assembly tooling and work instructions. • Assures product quality by designing life and performance test methods, testing finished products and confirming compliance to local, federal and international standards.
