About This Role: The Mechanical Engineer performs mechanical design and development of irrigation products. The mechanical engineer's design efforts may be directed toward new product development, sustaining existing products, or research projects and activities. Essential Job Functions/Tasks: Provides design engineering support for existing products or product development or research projects. Researches, designs, analyzes, and tests products to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Performs analysis, modeling, prototype, and design of injection molded plastic or die-cast components and enclosures. Uses rapid prototyping methods as appropriate.
