Primary Functions Lead the design and development of traffic engineering components, including maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, signing and pavement marking layouts, and traffic signal and roadway lighting systems, ensuring compliance with ODOT standards, the Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (OMUTCD), and applicable design guidelines. Conduct traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization, and traffic forecasting. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and construction cost estimates. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and communication. Mentor and support junior staff; coordinate with other disciplines and regional offices (OH, MI, IN). Collaborate with clients, local agencies, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions. Minimum Physical Requirements Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking.
