Job Summary Forgent is seeking a Product Development Engineer - Mechanical to lead the mechanical architecture and development of modular power infrastructure platforms. This role is responsible for designing scalable product platforms that support Forgent's portfolio of critical power distribution equipment including switchboards, switchgear, power distribution skids, PDUs, RPPs, transformer protection skids, utility interface skids, and E-House power modules. The engineer will focus on platform architecture, modular product design, and manufacturability , enabling standardized solutions that reduce labor hours, improve production efficiency, and accelerate deployment of power infrastructure systems. This position requires strong collaboration with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Compliance and Quality teams to ensure designs support repeatable manufacturing and high product reliability. Job/Position Summary Responsibilities: Provide plant support and handle VPCRs raised by Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and Marketing teams for global customer projects and engine programs. Plan, coordinate, and actively participate in weekly meetings for assigned product development projects. Meet project targets related to cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
