Primary Functions Lead plan production efforts for road and freeway design projects using MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Interact with internal and external clients; ODOT, local agencies, other consulting companies, and contractors. Assist in developing project budgets/schedules and technical proposals. Demonstrate engineering and specialized software knowledge. Work closely with other technical staff and with peers in the industry to provide transportation design and consulting engineering services, primarily for ODOT and local municipalities. Primary Functions Lead the design and development of traffic engineering components, including maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, signing and pavement marking layouts, and traffic signal and roadway lighting systems, ensuring compliance with ODOT standards, the Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (OMUTCD), and applicable design guidelines. Conduct traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization, and traffic forecasting. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and construction cost estimates. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and communication. Mentor and support junior staff; coordinate with other disciplines and regional offices (OH, MI, IN).
