Position Summary Under general supervision, the Substation Engineer 2 executes standard substation designs and provides construction/commissioning support. Produces complete design packages, coordinates with internal/external partners, and ensures designs align with IEEE/NESC and CoServ standards and with PUCT/ERCOT/NERC expectations. Primary Position Responsibilities Produce standard substation design packages (one-/three-lines, layouts, grounding, raceway/cable, equipment specs). Perform typical calculations (equipment ratings, thermal/clearances, grounding grid sizing, short-circuit inputs) with peer review. Coordinate with Civil/Structural and P&C to integrate designs and eliminate clashes. Prepare and review equipment specs; support bid evaluations and submittal reviews.
