POSITION SUMMARY The Civil Field Engineer has direct responsibility for the craft survey crew(s) to precisely layout temporary and permanent structures needed for the construction project(s). The Field Engineer is responsible for keeping the Project Superintendent and/or Project Manager accurately and fully informed of the survey aspects of the project(s), particularly with layout and as-built data. Tasks and responsibilities of the Field Engineer shall be described in a listing of project-specific duties as prepared by the Project Manager and/or Project Superintendent. RESPONSIBILITIES Become thoroughly familiar with the project drawings and specifications (including the general conditions), Owner Contract, and subcontracts.
