Job Description The Opportunity The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach is seeking Lab Supervisor & Teaching Assistant who will support the Department's experiential learning activities including laboratory courses, student projects, and research projects. Key responsibilities: Oversight of laboratory spaces including safety, OSHA compliance, lab policies, and general maintenance. Instructional assistance in machine shop and materials labs including sheet metal, milling, turning, welding, measurements, and materials testing. Supervision and training of student employees including selection, training, and daily oversight. General departmental support of activities and events. This is a 40 hour/week in-person position located at the Daytona Beach, Florida Campus and is not remote or hybrid.
