Job Description Job Summary: Sustain current products and support new product designs. Work directly with mechanical and electrical engineers, technicians, manufacturing, and quality functions. Duties/Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate product testing and certification with organizations and outside test facilities such as NHTSA, CENELEC, UL, KEA, FCC, CE, and other regulatory bodies. Be familiar with domestic and international Regulatory Standards; UL, CE, ISO, IPC, ANSI Y14.5M, etc. Support testing to these standards and getting certifications as appropriate. Be knowledgeable of the relevant standards and include them in the Product Requirements Document. Apply mechanical engineering skills to design, develop, analyze, and test all mechanical aspects of portable electronics equipment. Generate 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings utilizing Solidworks.
