The AME will design and/or review technical requirements and identify/define appropriate manufacturing processes, influence alternative designs from a manufacturing capability perspective utilizing DFMA (design for manufacturing/assembly), process quality planning (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) and lean design and manufacturing principles, and review designs for all new purchased parts.
