Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will drive manufacturing process practices through the development and application of critical manufacturing requirements and methods to achieve manufacturing process excellence. The AME will design and/or review technical requirements and identify/define appropriate manufacturing processes, influence alternative designs from a manufacturing capability perspective utilizing DFMA (design for manufacturing/assembly), process quality planning (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) and lean design and manufacturing principles, and review designs for all new purchased parts. Job Description The Senior Engineering Designer will demonstrate advanced utilization of the PTC suite of design and PLM programs (Creo and Windchill) to design and layout component parts, including subassembly and assembly structuring including top level vehicle large assembly management. The Senior Designer ensures proper form, fit and function while improving product performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability and cost effectiveness as directed by specific project/customer expectations and requirements.
