QUALITY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITY: Accurately interpret project requirements; produce and support designs to acceptable quality/manufacturing standards. POSITION SCOPE: Design tooling from conception within customer specifications that will produce product that meets customer requirements at required rates. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the functionality of the tooling design from insuring it meets all criteria in the sales order, is manufacturable, and is capable of meeting customer requirements. Must thoroughly review the sales order and customer supplied documentation to ensure a clear understanding of the project exists. Maintain open issues log for the project and be the driving force to ensure open issues are resolved. PRIMARY FUNCTION The intern should be currently enrolled in a technical or post-secondary educational institution, pursuing a degree in a Cad/Cam, Engineering, or Engineering Technology program. The candidate must be proficient in creating two-dimensional drawings using AutoCAD Lite software.
