Job Purpose Senior Design Engineer responsible for the conceptual design and production engineering of Aircraft Flight Control Mechanical Systems. The candidate will be responsible for conceptual layout, detailed design, hands on aircraft production support, in-service design support for mechanical and electromechanical aspects of the aircraft flight control system. Candidate to have future capability of becoming a FAA DER. Key Accountabilities Generate 3D Models and Drawings utilizing CATIA Version 5. Perform trade studies for the mechanical systems team to identify optimal engineering solution. Utilize drafting and Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge to optimize part design for cost and functionality. Perform clean sheet mechanical systems layouts.
