Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for a highly motivated Field Engineer to join our team in Lake Charles LA/Vinton LA/Beaumont TX Area. This position requiring 0-2 years' with heavy civil general contractor experience. Responsibilities/Duties: Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals. Assist in management of project permit process. Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement. Receive and review change orders. Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks. Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation services including reporting/monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents. Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status.
