Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work within a small company atmosphere with other marine engineers, naval architects, and designers to solve engineering challenges. Projects will span all different types of vessels in the maritime industry, so the role will need to work with designs on ships, yachts, tugs, pleasure boats, passenger vessels, etc., Create engineering drawings and schematics for both new construction and refit projects Design systems, route piping, and specify equipment appropriate for vessel type & service Manage projects, including creating work scopes and schedules, communicating with clients, coordinating technical vendors, and attending project meetings Manage the class and regulatory submittal, review, and approval process Some travel and fieldwork will be required - engineers must be able to work safely aboard ships and in a shipyard environment, including climbing ladders and navigating walkways, gangways, and confined spaces...
