About the job Engineer I Essential Job Duties • Design and/or manage the design of projects within the Capital Improvements Department, ensuring adherence to standards, project schedules and budgets. • Supervise the preparation of construction drawings, cost estimates, specifications, bid documents, and construction schedules. • Coordinate with consultants, regulatory agencies, and contractors through planning, design, and construction phases to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements. • Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to continuously improve engineering process and methodologies Physical and Environmental Conditions Requires the ability to drive, sit, stand, kneel, twist, climb and lift moderate weight (up to 50 pounds).
