Job Description Canam currently has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time, professional Civil, Structural, Building Engineer at our steel joist and deck manufacturing facility in Mississauga. Essential Functions: Design joist members and welds in compliance with applicable codes and standards. (CISC,CSSBI, SJI, AISC,CWB, etc). Provide engineering support to the drafting team and other departments. Provide technical assistance to current and prospective customers. Provide engineering expertise to outside sales offices and potential clients in the usage of joists and related products. Prepare work schedules and expedite workflow in order to meet customer and shop work schedules. Review and interpret contract documents to ensure all specifications are met during fabrication.
