Job Description The Optimization Engineer engages in the system model development, design optimization and qualification of new technologies related to domestic potable water heating, space heating hydronic systems, and combination potable and space water heating systems. The position also entails collaboration, advisory, and joint development projects among Rheem Global operating units and/or with outside partners. This position will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL . Responsibilities Engage in early-stage concept ideation, concept analyses and reductions of concepts to practical prototypes for demonstrations of feasibility. Create computer-based component and system level simulations in the prediction of vapor compression cycle behavior, gas combustion, heat transfer, fluid flow, system performance of water heating, space heating, combinational water heating designs and applications.
