BASIC FUNCTION Reports to the Engineering Manager, performs a variety of engineering work related to lapping processes and machines, including machine and tooling design/modification, research and product development/evaluation and equipment order review. PRIMARY DUTIES Works with internal & external customers to create designs that focus on functionality (assembly, operation, and maintenance), cost, and appearance. Using established methods produces or modifies layout and detail drawings for a variety of machines, components, and process tooling. Designs or modifies electrical and pneumatic diagrams for machines and tooling.
